WHAT COMES WITH THE VENUE

The rental fee includes the property for the day. Use of the property starts at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. This includes the house, the courtyards, the brick cocktail patio, the pavilion, and the ceremony gardens. If you do not rent the house, you will get the courtyards, the brick cocktail patio, the wedding gardens and the pavilion.

Can we decorate ourselves?

Yes, you may. We do not allow nails, staples, tacks, and some tape. We suggest zip ties and command hooks. We do not allow sparklers, fireworks, confetti, glitter. All candles must be 2 inches inside a cylinder. Is there a charge for setup and breakdown? Yes, there is a $125.00 charge

Do you have smoking areas?

Yes. We have three smoking areas on the property. No smoking allowed in the house, under the porches, or in the pavilion.

Is outside catering allowed?

Yes, but they must have their DHEC permit and no kitchen is available. We do have an outside area for the caterers for prep, food set up, and handwash sink.. The caterer must provide a DHEC permit and Liability insurance, 30 days prior to the event.

Is alcohol allowed?

Yes, in fact, you can bring your own alcohol, but you must provide host alcohol insurance listing The Arch and Artistic Catering as additional insured. We can give you the two internet insurance companies we prefer. You must use our bartenders.

Is rehearsal allowed?

Absolutely, if we do not have a wedding scheduled the day before. If we do, we will work with you to allow you to have the rehearsal for 1.5 hours at no additional charge.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, $400.00. It will be given back to you that night if we are able to look at the property or will be sent to you within 3 business days.

How are payments made?

We accept checks or cash. To secure and hold your date an $800.00 deposit is required at the time of contract. This is applied to the cost of the venue. This save the date is NON REFUNDABLE. Sixty (60) days after the contract you will send ½ the remaining balance and the balance is due 30 days prior to your event. If you need to change your date, we will allow you a ONE time date change at no charge (date availability depending) date must be within the year you booked. If you change dates after one year of the contract, you will lose the save the date deposit

Can we book two days if we need to decorate?

Yes two days can be booked if you need to decorate at a discounted rate Can you help us find vendors? Yes, we do have a listing of our preferred vendors. However, you may select a vendor that is not on the list. We just need to get them approved and get a copy of their liability insurance. All vendors staying on the property must have liability insurance.
